Not all web browsers are created equally. That’s why some CSS styles like font or image transparency might show up differently on older versions of Internet Explorer than on the latest Google Chrome.

To make sure that software behaves consistently across different web browsers for all the end-users, developers use cross-browser testing. This helps them understand more about which features to focus on, while also educating their users about the technology stack they should be using and its limitations.

That’s why, as of today, we’re proud to announce a new integration with LambdaTest.

What is LambdaTest?

LambdaTest is a free cross-browser platform that allows you to check the responsiveness of your website or app across different web browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, Edge, Safari, Yandex), platforms (Mac, Windows, iOS, Android), and screen sizes.

The benefits of using LambdaTest

  • Live interactive browser compatibility testing – Perform live interactive testing of your website or web app on any of the 2000+ mobile and desktop browsers of your choice and deliver pixel-perfect projects. No installation or configuration required.
  • Accelerated web layout testing – Thanks to the automated screenshots feature, you can auto-generate full page screenshots of your pages across the 2000+ browsing environments mentioned above in just a few seconds. Just set the configurations and let LambdaTest do the job for you.
  • Responsive testing on a wide variety of mobile devices – Check in an instant how your website or app is performing in both landscape and portrait mode on 16+ Android screen sizes, including Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy 8+, OnePlus, as well as 44 different iOS devices, from iPhone 4s to iPhone X. Quite crucial given that in 2018, 52.2% of the worldwide website traffic was generated by mobile according to Statista.
  • Increased confidence before deploy – Through Lambda Tunnel, you can set up a secure shell connection with LambdaTest’s servers and test plain HTML, CSS, PHP, Python, or other similar web files saved on your local system. This gives you the flexibility and confidence to test private server URLs and locally hosted web apps before pushing them into production.
  • Hassle-free resolution testing – Start testing with different resolutions ranging from 800×600 to 2560×1440. The best part? You don’t need to launch a new session again for a different resolution. Change it in the middle of a session and the browser will be resized automatically.

Paymo + LambdaTest

Through our new integration, you can take a screenshot of your bug and annotate any necessary changes in LambdaTest, then push it directly into Paymo. A pop up will appear that will ask you to select the desired project, task list, assigned users, task priority, task name, and description you wish to match in Paymo.

Once you hit the Create Bug button, a task will show up under your desired project and task list in Paymo, along with the rest of the details and the testing environment aspects (operating system, web browser version, screen resolution).

This minimizes the data entry process by securely migrating the data from one software to another.
