“Paymo is a good monitoring tool for my own performance”
I’ve been working as an independent contractor and consultant for 15 years and one persistent issue is time tracking and invoicing. Although for many years I had my own manual system of tracking hours and invoicing clients it was time consuming and lacked the level of precision and detail I would have preferred.
At this point in my career, I simply have too many clients and projects to use a spreadsheet. I tried a number of different systems and Paymo was far and beyond the best fit. I could do what I wanted quickly and easily. Not only that, I was able to report additional details to clients about where I was spending my time that made them more comfortable and confident in our working relationship.
Paymo is also a good monitoring tool for my own performance. Even though I am a single person shop, knowing the number of hours billed in the week or month, per project and the amount of money outstanding provides me with milestones and goals. It’s much easier to see why one month is better than another and find a solution. I’d recommend it to any independent contractor and I’m unaware of any other competing product that comes close in terms of ease of use and functionality.
